She was predeceased by: her husband Avery Bowers Jr.; her parents, Gordon Long and Lois Long; and her sister Claudia Brenton. She is survived by: her children, Ronnie Bowers (Shelia) of Bryson City, Beth Randall (Robert) of Whittier, Laurie Bowers Hyatt of Bryson City and Michael Bowers (Elizabeth) of Bryson City. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
