It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rachel Helen Lackey in Bryson City, North Carolina, born in Sumter, South Carolina, who passed away on May 9, 2023, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Mary Kindal Lackey and Winfred Bowen Lackey. She is survived by : her husband James C. Strickland, Jr. (Jim); her brother Steven Philip Lackey (Phil); her daughter Courtenay Strickland; and her grandson Marcello Antonio Pugliese Strickland.
