We are sad to announce that on December 26, 2023, at the age of 70, Shirley DeHart Summey of Bryson City, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Wade DeHart and Alice Lillard DeHart; her husband William John Summey; and her siblings, Carl DeHart and Elizabeth Alice DeHart.

She is survived by : her daughter Christine Summey; her siblings, Ronnie DeHart, Ray Williamson, Betty DeHart and Jessie Honeycutt; and her grandsons, Christopher Edward Effler, Michael Isaiah Effler, Kaleb Jason Jeno and Derek John Jeno. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
