He is survived by: his wife Diane Clayton Felmet; his daughters, Molly Louise Felmet (Anthony) and Katie Felmet Byrd (Jonathan) of Atlanta, Georgia.; his grandchildren, Gavin Williams, Antonio Vasquez, Harper Byrd and Clayton Byrd; and his brother Claude F. Felmet (Mary) of Raleigh. He is also survived by niece and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home & Crematory (1310 S Main St, Lillington, NC 27546). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Flat Branch Covenant Presbyterian Church (130 Darroch Rd, Bunnlevel, NC 28323).
