It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Karen Irene Body of Burgaw, North Carolina, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on February 5, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Ronald Body; her parents, Walter Torgersen and Myrtle Kimmell Torgersen; her son Randy Body; and her sisters, Ardell Simia and Jan Herrera.

She is survived by : her daughter Cheryl Body Marks (Daniel); her brother Terry Torgersen (Toni); her daughters-in-law, Christine Body-Lybbert and Leslie Body; and her close friend Ronald Body. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren.
