It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Theresa Lynn Carney of Burgaw, North Carolina, born in Swansboro, North Carolina, who passed away on January 15, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by : her children, Ken Murphy (Mindy) of Burgaw, Frances Jones (David) of Peletier and Tammy Graf (Jason) of Wilmington; her siblings, Sarah Murphy (Wayne) of Jacksonville and John R. Carney (Teresa) of Hubert; her grandchildren, Angela Schimmeyer, April Waruingi (Andrew), Alex Murphy (Dee), Mackenzi Edge and Julianna Murphy; her great grandchildren, Stiles, Makkai, Ryder, Carter, Aureluis and Zackery; her nephew Billy Murphy; her nieces, Karen Persecan and Peggy McCausley; and her close friends, Neil Burns and Carolyn Bell.
