He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Hackney Capps, Sr. and Alene Blanchard Capps; his daughter Debbie Capps; and his siblings, Becky Anderson, Mary Ruth Turner and Sam Capps.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Faucette Capps; his sons, Charles "Chuck" Capps and Craig Capps (Patricia); his stepchildren, Gary Mulherin (Melissa) and Christina Lewis (Todd); and his brother Richard Capps (Sharon). He is also survived by five grandchildren.
