She was predeceased by: her children, Roy Wesley Weaver, Jr. and Denise Renee Weaver-Pelkey. She is survived by: her sons, Gary Weaver (Vicki) of Madison, Robert Pelkey (Kira) of Asheboro and Richard Pelkey; her sister Mickie Ring of Burlington; her half-brother Chad Helms of Shelby; and her close friend Kathy Alderman. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
