He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Ollie Horner, Jr. and Thelma Victoria Hall Horner; and his grandparents, Chester and Elizabeth Horner. He is survived by: his brother William "Billy" Horner; his stepbrother James Pulliam; his half-brother Sam Horner; and his sister Peggy Horner.
