He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Lee Medlin Michaels; his parents, Clarence Colon Michaels and Georgia Bell Hunter Michaels; his children, Johnnie Todd Michaels and Zoe Cantrece Michaels; his grandchildren, Jordan Paige Michaels (Tristan Lough), Brayden Machi Michaels and Tavin Lance Michaels; his great grandchildren, Camden Wyatt Lough and Hadley Virginia Lough; his niece Wanda Michaels Anderson (William Anderson, II); and his brother Alfred Colon Michaels. He was also cherished by several other nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rich & Thompson Funeral & Cremation Service (306 Glenwood Ave, Burlington, NC 27215). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lashay's Sidetrack Allie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
