It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louis Jones Sr. (Burlington, North Carolina), born in Clayton, North Carolina, who passed away on May 30, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Marvin Jones and Hattie Kelly Jones; and his sister Audrey. He is survived by: his children, Pamela J. Jones (Doug) of Pensacola, FL, Connie Jones Schor (David) of Burlington, NC and Louis West Jones, Jr. (Hope) of Ravenel, SC; his grandchildren, Bradley C. Jones (Elizabeth), Amanda Markey Tillotson (Blake) and Matthew Markey; and his great grandchildren, Brantley Lane Tillotson, Ethan Blair Tillotson and Garrett Lee Tillotson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either: Hospice AuthoraCare Collective (2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405) or Veterans of Foreign Wars (634 West Webb Ave., Burlington, NC 27217) in appreciation of their efforts providing compassionate care and a needed wheelchair ramp.
