With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Guthrie of Burlington, North Carolina, who passed away on December 6, 2020 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Wellington and Mary Eliza Hammond Raynor; her son Charles Henry Tharp; and her siblings, Frank Raynor, John Raynor, Margorie R. Wright, Eunice R. Smith, David Raynor and Fran Gonda.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Morel Guthrie; her children, Margaret Elizabeth Guthrie (Ricky) of Burlington, Bonnie Wrenn Stanley (Johnny) of Four Oaks and Howard B. Terry (Marcia) of Burlington; her siblings, Shelby Warwick (Henry) of Fayetteville, Edward Raynor (Jo Ann) of Georgia and Roscoe Raynor (Kitty) of Dublin; and her grandchildren, Jason Guthrie, Brian Guthrie, Matthew Guthrie, Laura Lee, Tyler Tharp, Bryton Somers, Haley Terry, Michael Stanley, Drew Wright, Hayden Wright and Noah Wright. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
