She was predeceased by: her parent Eugene Anderson; her husband Ulysses Harrelson Marshall; her children, Debbie Benton and Edward Carter; her stepdaughter Linda Sumner; and her son-in-law Mike Benton.
She is survived by: her parent Christine Winebarger Carson; her daughter-in-law Carolyn Ward Carter; her grandchildren, Boyd McKenzie of Graham and Nancy Hunble; and her sisters, Carol Lovins and Fran Bunting of Greensboro. She is also survived by great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
