She was predeceased by: her parents, Lacy Jerome and Odell Stone Sykes; and her siblings, Harvey, Alfred Sykes, Florine Efland, Irene Wade and Lois Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Harris Tickle (Wanda) and Linda Tickle Neal (Steve); her grandchildren, Meredith Duncan (Zack) and Darrick Love (Ashley); her great grandchildren, Diara, Darrick II and Ashleigh; her great great grandchildren, Penelope, Timothy, Paisley and Parker; and her siblings, Ruby Martin, Betty Jean Aldridge and James L. "Jodie" Sykes.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Fairview UMC, general fund, 3128 Osceola Road, Elon, NC 27244.
