He is survived by: his children, Alease Chambers Poteat of Burlington, Linda Poteat Parker (Eric) of Graham and Wendy M. Poteat of Mebane; his siblings, J. W. Poteat (Florence) of Wilmington, DE, Mary Williams (Donnell) of Leasburg, Maxine Poteat of Burlington and Marlene Fuller (Roscoe) of Caswell County; and his grandchildren, Tyler W. Parker, Kaylee Parker and Spencer C. Yelverton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
