He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Warren "Sonny" Miles and Robena Oakley Miles; his brother Warren Miles; and his pet Beanie. He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Miles (Mark) of Durham and Leslie Miles Smith (Bryan) of Haw River; his grandchildren, Whitney Smith of Burlington and Tyler Smith of Virginia; his siblings, Ella Rae Mitchell of Burlington and Johnny Mack Miles (Bobbie) of Burlington; and his sister-in-law Nancy Miles of Burlington. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
