She is survived by: her children, Shelia Higgins, Lisa Routh (Joe) of New Bern and C. H. Oakley, Jr. (Barbara) of Goldsboro; her grandchildren, Kay Ames (Matt), Kristine Oakley, Sharon Burr (Jason), Rebecca Hicks (Gordon), Brandy Brown, Sarah Ray, Carly Presnell (Chris) and Matthew Smith; her great grandchildren, Michael Ames, Ashley Ames, Emily Ames, Savannah York, Gavin Nicholson, Miloh Brown, Garrett Smith and Jaxin Smith; and her brother Tom Huffines (Jane) of Greensboro.
