He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Franklin Tipton and Grace Tipton (Canter); and his siblings, Bobby Tipton, Burl Tipton, Sue Banks, Rachel Charles and Betty Holland.
He is survived by: his wife Eula Mae Tipton; his sons, Bill Tipton (Susan) of Graham, N. C. and Dean Tipton (Jennie) of Burlington, N. C.; his grandchildren, Thomas Clinton Tipton, Kelli Waddell (John Paul), John Wesley Tipton, Franklin Richard Tipton (Carrie Ann Tipton) and Faith Safrit; his great grandchildren, Aiden Paul Waddell, Lily Ann Nicole Waddell, Kimberly Michelle Waddell and Aspyn Rose Tipton; and his siblings, Jerry Tipton of Norton, VA., Sandra Slagle and Bill Hughes (Peggy). He is also survived by relatives and friends.
