He was predeceased by: his parent Ashby Grant; his wife Lois Grant; his sister Shirley Grant; and his stepsons, James O'Keefe and Michael O'Keefe.
He is survived by: his parent Martha Reed Grant; his children, Robert Ashby Grant, Jr (Dawn), Chuck Grant (Jeanette), Grace Bucholtz (Joey) and Kim Rouse Murphy (Adam); his stepson William Vincent O'Keefe; his siblings, Raymond Earl Grant and Dorothy Nicholson; and his grandchildren, Robert Ashby Grant, III, Jacqueline Campbell, Ashley Wells, Jimmy Bucholtz, Joey Bucholtz, Madison Bucholtz, Brandon Rouse and Brooke Rouse.
