She was predeceased by: her husband Bruce Larry Whitten; and her parents, Raymond Kay Alexander and Ophelia Lay Alexander. She is survived by: her children, Gloria Scott (A. B. Scott) of Whitsett and Ron Whitten (Janet) of Burlington; her grandchildren, Kevin Scott, Amanda Scott Gray (James) and Nancy Whitten Adams (Bartley); her great grandchildren, Paige, Bailey, Jackson, Aiden and Clare; and her brother Lindel Alexander.
