She was predeceased by: her parents, Sallie "Bet" Elizabeth Epps Lacy and William James "Buck" Lacy; her husband Rupert Tremain Butler; her son Wayne Lacy Butler (Connie) of Burlington; and her siblings, William James Lacy, Jr., Thomas Bailey Lacy, Daniel Epps Lacy, Charles Claiborne Lacy, Ann Elizabeth Lacy and Mary Sue Lacy Elliott.
She is survived by: her son Rupert Maxwell "Max" Butler (Penny); her daughter-in-law Connie H Butler (late Wayne Lacy Butler); and her grandchildren, Yonnie Dean Butler (Judy), Brett Allen Butler (Terra), Stephany Butler Thomas (Scott) and Trevor William Butler (Carina). She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
