She was predeceased by: her husband J. Maynard Gilliam, Jr.; her parents, Roy Welch and Mintie Whitsell Welch; her siblings, Winford Welch, Arthur Welch, William P. Welch, Aleene Welch Abee, Louise Somers and Margaret Hicks; and her grandson R. Stephen Collier.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Duffey (Lloyd "Cricket") of Haw River, Tracey Mendolera (Sal) of Gibsonville and Victor Gilliam (Nancy) of Denton; and her siblings, Jean Andrews of Graham and Carl Welch of Gibsonville. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and 3 step-grandchildren.
