It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tommy Bray of Burlington, North Carolina, who passed away on January 25, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Tommy Bray to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sears Hubbard and Gladys Mize Bray; his former wife Barbara Ann Barber Bray; his daughter Tanya Jo Lunsford; and his siblings, Barbara Bray and Bill Bray.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Cheek Denny Bray; his son Joel Scott Bray of Burlington; his stepchildren, Vicky Hayes (Mike) of Burlington, Ellen Denny of Graham, Mark Denny (Martha) of Burlington and Jan Tate (Kelly) of Burlington; his grandchildren, Danielle, Molly and Matthew (Hannah Lunsford); his great grandchild Eva Lunsford; his son-in-law Michael Lunsford; and his sisters, Betty Connell (Max) of Greensboro and Carolyn Bray Page (Ed) of Reidsville. He is also survived by nineteen step grandchildren.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private funeral service for immediate family will be held at 2:00pm Sunday January 31, 2021 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Howard Thompson.
