It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Virginia Jeanette Bland (Burlington, North Carolina), born in Alamance, North Carolina, who passed away on April 6, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Ward and Lucille Terrell Ward; her son Samuel James Bland; her great grandchild Kelleigh Shropshire; and her brother Spencer Ward.
She is survived by: her husband Cecil "Buck" Bland, Jr.; and her children, C. W. Bland III (Linda) and Cynthia Carter (Jasper). She is also survived by five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
