It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty J. Goolsby (Burnsville, North Carolina), who passed away on October 29, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Ervin Holler and Sarah Weaver Holler; her husband William Vernon Goolsby; and her siblings, Edith Melton, Lena Little, Pearl Hensley, Charlie and Russell Hollar.

She is survived by : her daughter Alisa Ballard (Greg); her granddaughter Jayme Vernon (Cas) of Beech Mountain; and her great grandchildren, Jaxon Gallop, Caitlin Vernon, Haleigh Vernon and Hannah Vernon. She is also survived by Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
