With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donna Butner Elliot (Burnsville, North Carolina), who passed away on October 13, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Butner and Nina Hylemon Butner; and her sister Gail Butner. She is survived by: her husband Mike Elliot; her sons, Chad Buchanan (Heather) of Spruce Pine, Anthony "Tony" Yaccarino (Anissa) of Spruce Pine and Chris Buchanan (Paula) of Kansas City, KS; her stepchildren, Jeremy Elliot of Chuckey, TN, Vinny Yaccarino of San Diego, CA and Nick Yaccarino; her grandchildren, Hayden, Hannah, Carter Buchanan of Spruce Pine, Charlie, Emilia Buchanan of Kansas City, KS and Kipling Ludy of Windsor, CO; her stepgrandchild Chayse Elliot of Chuckey, TN; her brother Brian Butner of Myrtle Beach, SC; her sister-in-law Karen Young of Elizabethton, TN; and her nephew-in-law Travis Combs of Elizabethton, TN.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Yancey Funeral Service (378 Charlie Brown Rd, Burnsville, NC 28714). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
