She was predeceased by: her mother Linda Kay Elkins Austin. She is survived by: her father Willie Austin of Greeneville; her children, Amity Brianna Carter of Weaverville and Austin Brian Carter of Weaverville; her grandsons, Gavin and Noah; and her brother T. G. Austin of Asheville. She is also survived by her daughter, son, and grandsons.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Elkins Cemetery (24 Elkins Ln, Burnsville, NC 28714).
