She was predeceased by: her parents, William August and Ethel Mae Notzke (Hicks); her husband John Ewing Sutton; her brother L. Notzke; her children, William Larry Sutton and Merry M. Ranson; and her stepsons, Danny, Gerald and Richard.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn J. Dickerson (Walter) of Laura and Donald W. (Margaret) of Virginia; her grandchildren, Valerie Sutton, Crystal L. Oliver (Tyrese), Carrie A. Bennett (John), Fawna R. Gillam (Larry), Farrah L. Garretts (Scott) and Dustin Metz (Kelly); and her stepsons, John and Harold. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
