He was predeceased by: his parents, Alma Ashburn Horton and Hubert Burtrand Horton. He is survived by: his wife Iris Conway Horton; his daughter Paige Benefield; and his siblings, J. W. Horton (Faye), Alan Hodges (Elaine) and Debra Lavinder (Michael). He is also survived by five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
