It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Ann Rathbone (Candler, North Carolina), who passed away on November 11, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry J. Rice and Leota Holland Rice; her husband David Earl Rathbone; her siblings, Rueben, Essie Brown, Lucy Bleak, Ellen Austin, Avery Rice, Rhea Jackson and Timothy Rice; and her brothers-in-law, Jack Rathbone, Jerald Rathbone, James Gosnell and Johnny Roberts.
She is survived by: her sons, Ben Rathbone (Wendy) of Candler, NC, Michael Rathbone (Michele) of Candler, NC and Alan Rathbone (Elizabeth) of Evans, GA.; her siblings, Esther Johnson, Robert Rice of Mary Rice, J. W, Larry Rice, Jerry Rice and Ruth Sprouse; Geraldine Gosnell, Linda, Ralph Cabe and Judy Roberts. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
