He was predeceased by: his parents, Atlas Greene and Minnie Richardson Greene; his daughter Faye Greene; his stepdaughter Sandrell Ashworth; and his siblings, Connie Kennedy, Glennie Dunn, Sadie Bowles, A. C. Greene, Jr., Manley Greene, Arlie Greene and Ellis Greene.
He is survived by: his wife Cozette Haywood Greene; his children, Bobby, Jerry, Sammy Greene, Sandy Powell and Brenda Adams; his stepdaughter Evelyn Parsons; and his sister Lela G. Thompson. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
