He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Owen and Pauline Owen; his wife Betty Kegley Owen; his son Gary Owen; and his son-in-law Dru Horton.
He is survived by: his children, Sheree Horton of Canton, Lou Ann Pressley (David Pressley) of Canton and Tina Lane (Mark Lane) of Simpsonville, SC; and his grandchildren, Chad Owen, Josh Owen, Andrew Owen, Zach Rathbone, Brett Pressley, Laurie Hall, Chloe Hall, Charleston Lane, McKenzie Lane, Kathryn Horton and Peyton Horton. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
