He was predeceased by: his parents, W. S. Edwards and Bessie Landreth Edwards; his son Bruce Edwards; his grandson Clint Burress; his brother Ed Metcalf; and his sister-in-law Lois Metcalf.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann McKinney Edwards of Canton; and his children, Brenda Edwards Gaddis (Joe) of Canton, Boyd Edwards (Susan) of Canton, Beth Edwards Cragg (Jerry) of Canton and Brad Edwards (Sherry) of Leicester. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and, great-great-grandchildren.
