He was predeceased by: his father Garrett Mathews; and his brother Harlin Mathews. He is survived by: his wife Cricket; his children, Alisha "Nicki" Mathews, Shandy Mathews (Michael Metcalf) and Allan Rathbone; his mother Alice Mathews; his siblings, Jeff Wall, Clark, Mac, David Mathews, Rita Fritz (Gary), Rhonda Johnson, Anita Logan and Adrianne Ruege; and his grandchildren, Kadence Mathews and Corbin. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
