She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Hamlett and Addie Cole Hamlett; her husband Jack Thomas Smathers; and her son Doug Maynard. She is survived by: her grandson Ken Maynard (Chris) of Georgia; her great grandchildren, Carson and Mollie Maynard; and her great great grandchild Emery Kate Maynard.
