He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Shepherd and Grace Rogers Shepherd; and his brothers, Doyt Shepherd and Gary Shepherd. He is survived by: his wife Madeline Blaylock Shepherd; his daughter Evelyn Donna Shepherd of New York City; his grandchildren, Ezra and Zelda; and his brothers, Eugene Shepherd (Peggy) of Canton and Carroll "Mack" Shepherd (Rose) of Candler.
