She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Blair Morton and Mary Helen Threadgill Morton; and her granddaughter Sabrina Starnes. She is survived by: her husband Billy J. Fortner; her sisters, Alice Holder and Imogene Roach; her children, Stacy Carter (Tammy) of Shallotte, Rina Lewis and Tonya "Tinker" Stanley of Salisbury; her siblings, James Isaac "Buddy" Morton, Willie Blair Morton Jr., Patricia Dellinger and Eunice Burris; and her grandchildren, Willie Carter, April Carter Reed (Joseph) and Angel Carter. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren.
