He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivy L. Carter and Euna Thrash Carter; his wife Marylynn Claire Carter; and his sister Sandra Shaw. He is survived by: his children, Debra Lynn Carter (Bob Day), Regina Lynn Huett (Thomas), Theresa Lynn, Lawrence Carter Jr. (Joy), Craig Carter (Pamela) and Todd Carter; his grandchildren, Jessica, Jordan, Tyler, Conner, Kyle, Devon, Katie, Brad, Brittney and Cassidy; and his sister Rebecca Joiner Taylor.
