It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Elliott (Canton, North Carolina), who passed away on March 11, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Lovell and Nannie Mae Nations Hipps; and her siblings, Lena Fitzgerald, James, Paul and Lenoir Hipps.
She is survived by: her daughter Sandra McMahan (Patrick) of Bryson City; her siblings, Ardith Hipps Brown (John) of Canton, John Hipps (Judy) of Canton and Lonnie Hipps (Carolyn) of Canton; and her granddaughters, Erin McMahan Harris and Tara McMahan Brugh (Brett). She is also survived by four great- grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren with many nieces and nephews.
