She is survived by: her children, Keith Medford (Janet) and Helen Hudgins (Derrell); her grandchildren, Dustin Worley (Jessica), Maryann Hudgins, Samantha Medford and Gabriella Pennell (Sam); her great grandchildren, Palynn Worley, Anna Belle Wade, Lacey James Mastrangelo and Ivy Jane Pennell; her siblings, Mary Thomason (Bruce), Audrey Scott (David) and Ned West (Sandy); and her close friend Doris Hendricks. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Long Branch Baptist Church (25 Homestead Trail, Canton, NC 28716). A funeral service was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
