He was predeceased by: his parents, Vinson Winfield Smith and Elizabeth Rathbone Smith; his wife Rozelle Owen Smith; and his siblings, Roy Smith, Mae Inman, Myrtle King, Beulah Chambers and Irene King.
He is survived by: his sons, David Smith (Vicki), Doug Smith (Janice) and Darrell Smith (Tanya); Kathy Stamey, Steve of Georgia, Jan Owen of Canton, Julie Owen of Canton, Laura Owen, Kelly of Canton, Amy Pace and Brandon of Canton. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; his daughters.
