He was predeceased by: his parents, Vinson Winfield Smith and Elizabeth Rathbone Smith; his wife Rozelle Owen Smith; and his siblings, Roy Smith, Mae Inman, Myrtle King, Beulah Chambers and Irene King.
He is survived by: his sons, David Smith (Vicki), Doug Smith (Janice) and Darrell Smith (Tanya); and also, Kathy Stamey, Steve of Georgia, Jan Owen of Canton, Julie Owen of Canton, Laura Owen, Kelly of Canton, Amy Pace and Brandon of Canton. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; his daughters.
