It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilma Brookshire of Canton, North Carolina, who passed away on August 4, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Wilma Brookshire to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Hyde and Lucille Lanning Hyde; her husband Harland James "Brook" Brookshire; her grandson Teddy Wells; her son-in-law Rogers; and her sister Faye Hyde Revis.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Smith of Canton, Ginger Rogers of Canton and Steve Wells (Pam) of Canton; and her stepsons, Ronnie Brookshire (Belvia) of Canton and Paul Brookshire (Linda) of Rock Hill. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Due to the COVID-19 exposure and for the safety of everyone, a private family graveside service will be held with the Reverend Dr. Perry Brindley officiating.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 261 Dix Creek Road, Canton, NC or to one's favorite charity.
