She was predeceased by: her parents, Reuben Strange and Alma McFarland Strange. She is survived by: her sons, Wyatt Brinkley of Cape Carteret and Scott Brinkley (Chris) of Maysville; her grandsons, Jarett (Kayleigh) and Carson; and her great grandchild Ophelia. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and their extended family.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, February 10th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Park (2107 Liberty St, Durham, NC 27703).
