She was predeceased by: her former husband Earthul G. Clifton. She is survived by: her husband Elmer Hammond of Fayetteville; her children, Paula Munsey (Harry) of Fayetteville and Kelly Clifton (Teresa) of Dunn; her grandchildren, Colton Clifton (Hallie) of Raleigh, Kyle Clifton (Elaine) of Raleigh, Karley Lawler (Colten) of Hampstead, Grey, Cooper and Carper; and her sister Brenda Barbour (Ronald) of Eastover.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made in Shirley's name to Cedar Falls Baptist Church, 6181 Ramsey Street, NC 28311.
