She was predeceased by: her parents, William Todd Smith, Sr. and Olive Blanch Cuthrell Smith; her former husband Floyd Richard Bettes, Sr.; her sister Delphia Eunice Lydick; and her daughter Lorie Jo Brown.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph Benjamin Brown; her children, Floyd Richard "Rich" Bettes, Jr. (Kathy), Leslie Gail Kelley (Randy), Todd Simpson Bettes (Lynn) and Daniel Allan Brown (Judi); and her grandchildren, Daniel Patrick Brown, Christine Cartell Bettes, Sarah Elizabeth Bettes and Timothy Joseph Bettes. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
