He was predeceased by : his parents, Coy Leonard and Hattie McMillian Whitt. He is survived by : his partner Leslie Brown; and his sisters, Opal Barton (Gene) of Carthage and Irene Payne of Sanford. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
