She was predeceased by: her husbands, James T. Harrison and Carvie Everette Strickland; her daughter Frances Harrison Tarleton; and her brother Patrick Millard. She is survived by: her daughters, Cathy Harrison Savage of Raleigh and Jane Harrison Brown (Gerry) of Whitakers; her stepchildren, Pamela Strickland Lowe of Knoxville, TN and Richard Ellis Strickland (Pam) of Rocky Mount; her grandchildren, Blair Tarleton (Amy), Stephen Tarleton (Marissa), Gerald Brown, Jr., Thomas Brown, Phillip Brown, Charity Hodgin (Richard), Elizabeth Evans (Darin) and Melissa Savage; and her stepgrandchildren, Paige Hughes (Gregg), Brooke Ellenberger, Jason Strickland (Delight), Ryan Strickland (Laura) and Matthew Strickland (Rachael). She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Davis-Little Funerals (2129 Lawrence Cir, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
