He was predeceased by : his parents, Wilbur Barnhill and Ruby Barnhill; his adoptive parents, Ira Barnhill and Lela Barnhill; his wife Patricia Davis Barnhill; his stepmother Mozzell Barnhill; his half-sisters, Shirley and Arlene; and his close friend Marie Sutton.
He is survived by : his half-brother Glen Barnhill; his children, Kenneth Michael Barnhill (Belinda) of Cove City and Donna Barnhill Cassell (Hershell) of Castalia; his grandchildren, Kristen McCoy (Charlie), Kathleen Brinson (Joe), Hershell Cassell, III (Kristin) and Chase Cassell (Sarah); and his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Lucas, Maxine, Garrett, Greenly, Weston and Avery.
