It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hattie Clara Thomas in Catawba, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on February 14, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Moses Thomas and Hattie Thomas; and her siblings, Edward Thomas, Elizabeth Munford and Bessie Mae Weaver.
She is survived by : her children, Albert Wimbush of Virginia, Clara Mae Fletcher of Newton, NC and Patricia Fraser (Ronald) of Washington, DC. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, February 24th 2021 from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Allen Mitchell Funeral Home (334 1st St SW, Hickory, NC 28602). Reverend David Roberts II Pastor of Morningstar First Baptist Church will be officiating. *Masks and social distancing are required.
