He is survived by: his parents, Emery Neil Smith of Nakina, NC and Martha Jenkins Smith of Cerro Gordo, NC.; his children, Jada Ivey Smith Martinez (Sean) of Danville, VA and Andrew Jacob "AJ" Smith of Stuttgart; and his grandson Kanan Paul Martinez.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Cypress Branch Church (1067 Small Rd, Fair Bluff, NC 28439).
